THE SKY WATCHER
THE SKY WATCHER
I lay
Watching
Waiting
Wanting
For you to arrive
Lay and watch with me
I sent my message to whoever would listen
In the hopes they might go and invite you
To the moth
To the sleepy bird perched nearby
To the lively bat zipping by
To the silver stars seeking attention above
And finally to my old friend
The sun's sorry lover
My friend the misty moon
Who I hoped would take pity on me
Understanding my plight
So I sat there cross legged watching the beauty of another pass me by
I waited
I listened
I was patiently waiting for my lost love
The beauty of the sun passed me by, my face glowed
Is this what it means to be sun-kissed?
But as she set to her resting place, I knew my lover was about to arrive
Darkness!
Darkness arrived fast, filling the sky, the air, the place I sat to wait
My heart panicked
Was my love really coming. Can I be patient?
......those who wait.....shall renew their strength.....
I was weary and tired of waiting so I lay
Watching
Waiting
Wanting
For you to arrive
I almost slept off when a breeze blew near me
Your scent
My beloved had arrived. I looked up watching the sky and there you were my star ⭐
Lay and watch with me, you spoke.
All night before the beauty of the sun comes in the morning and steals from us our deep sky conversation
