To be like Him.....
To whom will you compare God?
What image will you compare him to?
See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm.
See, his reward is with him, and accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
Who can fathom the spirit of God?
With whom then will you compare God?
He sits enthroned above, stretches out the heaven like a canopy
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom
Even what we have in our hands he multiplies
We are called to be his feet, his voice, his hands, his eyes for those that need to experience him everywhere.
What kind of privilege is this: to be an example in word...the way we conduct, love in purity for he says be Holy as I am Holy
We know we owe you everything
But sometimes our lives suggest otherwise
We want to weigh our praise with the way our lives play out
thinking we are too young,
Sometimes we think we are too busy
We take reading your word a little easy
Prayer is just a routine sometimes we forego
When we are too tired
Our lives say we don't need him that much
Our lives question
Where is God?
Is he asleep,
In the midst of my misery
Is he just comfortable in my trouble
No loving God would let this happen…
Sometimes we are just broken
Broken by circumstance
Beat down to defeat
But yet broken on purpose
It takes crushed grain to make the bread
Only fire refines gold
So we ought to die to him everyday
To cry out to him in the midst of the pain
For when we are broken our praise is sweetest
When we are weakest,
He is nearest
and truly he hears the cry of the broken!
So allow the breaking
The vigorous remaking
His power at work in you
To be broken gracefully
What is a man that you mindful of him
For what privilege did we earn
To be here with our hands wide open. Pouring out our lives to be
Gracefully broken
Only For his glory.
